Custom Software Development and Project Rescue

We build web platforms around the way your business actually works, modernise legacy systems without stopping them, and take over projects that stalled with another team. Web apps and platforms start at $7,500; a rescue starts with an architecture review and a plan before any new code is written.

A rescue starts with reading, not rewriting

When a project has stalled, the tempting move is to throw the code away and start again. Usually it is the expensive one. We first read what is there: the architecture, the data, what works and what only appears to. Then you get a realistic plan — what to keep, what to replace, in which order — and a price for it, before anyone writes new code.

Progalit had been through previous development teams without reaching launch. We took over the architecture and brought it to a live medical product, still in patients' hands today.

What we build

  • Platforms for operations: rentals, maintenance, training, scheduling — software that replaces spreadsheets and phone calls.
  • Monitoring platforms that collect data from the field and show what needs attention.
  • Portals and internal tools with accounts, roles and the business logic your process needs.
  • Modernisation of legacy systems: moving an old system onto a maintainable stack piece by piece, while it keeps running.

Platforms we have built

  • USA · Midwest — crane rental platform
  • USA · East Coast — property maintenance platform
  • South Africa — workforce training platform for the mining industry
  • United Kingdom — wastewater monitoring platform
  • USA · Great Lakes — lake health monitoring platform
  • Norway — hospital overcrowding decision-support tool
  • Ukraine — patient flow system across hospital departments
  • ProgalitSoftware-as-a-medical-device platform for urology, built with a French health-tech company backed by European funds.Read the case
  • BuzzNetworkWeb store for a Canadian Minecraft network whose traffic arrives in spikes.Read the case

How we work

  1. A call and, for an existing system, a review of the code, data and infrastructure.
  2. A plan with fixed scope and price for the first stage.
  3. Build in your repository, with access from day one and working versions as we go.
  4. Launch and handover: code, access and documentation are yours.

Questions about custom builds

What if the developer disappears halfway through?

The code lives in a repository you have access to from day one, and changes are pushed there as the work goes. You can hand the project to anyone at any moment without starting from scratch. We are an agency, not a single freelancer, so replacing someone mid-project is our problem, not yours.

Can you work with code another team wrote?

Yes — that is what a rescue is. We start by reviewing it and tell you honestly whether to continue, refactor or replace parts of it, and what each option costs.

Can a legacy system be replaced without downtime?

Usually, if it is done in stages: the new parts take over one function at a time while the old system keeps running, and data moves with them.

How long does a platform take?

It depends on the scope, so we name the timeline after scoping, together with the price. A first usable version is often the right first stage.
